Is It Possible To Get Pregnant By Protected Sex Despite Being On Plan B Ipills?
Hi, I have been having sex for the last 3 months and last month I took a plan B 1 week before my period and when my period finally came it was very light and lasted for a few days, so it wasn't a normal period. This month I am expecting to get my period today and I have just had spotting for the last 2 days but not a full period. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? I have never had unprotected sex, always used a condom. I know that doesn't necessarily matter but just wanted to give you all facts
You can't get pregnant if you have protected sex (unless your condom is broken). If you are sure that every time the intercourse has been properly, always the condom has been used correctly and never damaged, you don't have to worry.
Emergency pills or birth control pills that you may take affect your hormones and therefore your menstrual cycle. So you may have delays, or early menstruation, changes in amount and lasting in time.
One of the most common side effects of these contraceptive methods is spotting (or light menstruations). I'm sure your brown vaginal discharge is due to the pill.
Take care and best wishes for you! DR ERIOL.
